About Rainbow Hills

The foundation of the winemaking heritage in Coshocton Ohio

History

Rainbow Hills Winery opened in 1988 and the founders, Lee and Joy Wyse, operated it until 2018.  Their venture established the first winery and grape vineyard in Coshocton County and sparked interest in winemaking throughout eastern Ohio.  Until his passing in 2013, Lee spent 25 years helping to foster winemaking throughout the region, sharing his expertise and goodwill with all who wanted to learn the craft and the business.  He was instrumental also in establishing the Three Rivers Wine Trail that now spans Coshocton, Tuscarawas, Licking, and Knox Counties.

A New Beginning

Eric and Traci Dennis purchased the winery in 2018 and dedicated themselves to its preservation and growth.

In 2020 the winery began its 32nd year of continuous operation.  We now offer 16 of the best wines produced in Ohio, all made here in our winery.

Our 46-acre property features a 5-acre vineyard and winery, a public tasting room and a bed-and-breakfast inn with four private lodging suites.

Rainbow Hills is the perfect place for group retreats and romantic getaways, with good wines made to be enjoyed amid the splendor of nature.
